It’s officially spooky season! This year, the beloved holiday stretches for an entire weekend since Halloween falls on a Monday. This means we have an extended opportunity to celebrate in the Bay Area, with an abundance of events and attractions available. We’ve created a short list of events from San Francisco to East Bay in hopes you find a way to enjoy.
Pick up a Pumpkin
Get festive! These pumpkin patches have been serving up pumpkins to the Bay Area for decades. This makes for a great day trip with the kids, or with friends, andbesure to check out the other offerings like pumpkin carving.
Piedmont Avenue Pumpkin Patch – Located on Piedmont Avenue in Oakland, they also put on a kid-friendly Haunted House!
Clancy’s Pumpkin Patch – The best-known pumpkin patch in San Francisco with two different locations.
Stay Haunted
Like a good thrill? Stop by these well-know haunted house events and prepare for a scare. We’ve also featured a tour of supposedly haunted pubs in San Francisco. What a ghast!
Mayhem Mansion – A seasonal spooky offering on Franklin Street in San Francisco
Historic Oakland Cohen Bray House – An east bay historic house rumored to have paranormal activity.
Walk with Spirits: A Haunted Pub Crawl in San Francisco – A crawl of historical pubs that have been known to host a ghost or two!
Fear Overload Scream Park | Haunted House Bay Area – A super scary large scale haunted house, not for the faint of heart.
Edge of Halloween Treasure Hunt Tickets, Sun, Oct 30, 2022 at 2:00 PM | Eventbrite – Not quite a haunted house, but this is a greatfamily-friendly event at Grace Cathedral.
Get Your Dance On!
If there is one thing the Bay Area knows how to do, its dance. There are so many musical events on Halloween weekend that it may be hard to pick just one (or two!) but here is a list of four fun dance events to check out that come highly recommended. Groove on.
Dance Fridays HALLOWEEN LIVE Salsa Band – For those that love to Salsa, this is a Halloween-style Salsa Dance Party.
San Francisco Masquerade Halloween Yacht Party – Masquerade Boat party, boards in Alameda.
