West Hollywood
West Hollywood (or WeHo) is home to some of Southern California’s most iconic locales and historic moments. It may be best known for the vibrant Sunset Strip and celebrity-filled streets, shops and restaurants, but locals know that this walkable locale is centrally located for quick access to most of LA, while offering plentiful amenities you’ll never want to leave. Between world-class restaurants and cafes, famous street art, dynamic nightlife and incredible shopping, this two-square-mile neighborhood offers everything you could want within easy walking distance.
The history of this city reflects its diversity and ethos. In the 1960s, people flocked to West Hollywood for its bohemian lifestyle and "hippie culture." In 1984, West Hollywood residents organized to maintain rent control to preserve the affordability of their community, quick voting to incorporate the 'City of West Hollywood' and adopting one of the strongest rent control laws in the country. Today, the local government continues to reflect these values.
West Hollywood offers a fun, diverse and safe place to live, all just a short drive to Beverly Hills and downtown Los Angeles. Looking for the ideal place to experience Southern California living? Palm trees, plenty of sun and lots more await in WeHo.
