Palms
Palms is the oldest neighborhood to join the city of Los Angeles. Founded in 1886, original advertisements targeting California-bound settlers declared: “No cold winters. No hot summers. No saloons at The Palms.” While this thriving community continues to deliver on two of those promises, you certainly won’t have any trouble finding a great spot to get a drink these days.
Palms’ diversity is reflected in its local eateries, including many Indonesian, Pakistani and Indian businesses, as well as a thriving Brazilian community. While this residential neighborhood in LA’s Westside region may be small in size (just two square miles), it is one of the most densely populated areas in Los Angeles County. Lots of people means great options for restaurants, grocery stores and shops - all within walking distance.
Plus, you’re less than five miles to Venice, with easy access to the 10, the 405 and great public transit options for getting around the city. Enjoy the perks of city life without the rush!
